Yokai SOHO(Small Office Home Office)は新しく改装された5階建てのビルの上に現代京町家のロフトである。設備は広い昼間、和室、テラス・屋上の庭、エレベータ、画廊、喫茶店、事務所、駐輪所、駐車場(コインパーキング)。モンスリ賃貸レンタルの契約限定。

Yokai SOHO offers 3 floors of comfortable lofts in a newly renovated building with contemporary and traditional Japanese townhouse (machiya) style: beautifully crafted tatami rooms, large living and dining rooms/offices, outdoor gardens, kitchens, and private bathrooms.

You can rent 1, 2 or 3 lofts (floors) depending on your number. Each loft has 2 or 3 rooms plus kitchen and bathrooms.

The lofts have been conceived to offer the experience of a traditional machiya with modern comfort and a lot of space. The tatami rooms are crafted by the best carpenters in Kyoto, using Japanese cypress wood (hinoki) and antique doors system. They are elevated on a concrete floor encrusted with Japanese river stones.

The lofts have a direct access from the escalator, there are tatami rooms but also a sofa bed, tables and chairs that allow a particularly comfortable atmosphere for everyone.

Depending on the number of guests, floors (lofts) can be rented separately.

Yokai SOHO is located in an ancient and historical part of Kyoto: Nishijin kimono and textile center, it is connected to Kitano tenmangu shrine (related to scholarship and knowledge), its antique flea market, and Kamishichiken which is the first and oldest geisha district in Kyoto.

The building is located on an ancient commercial street, with plenty of local rental shops (shotengai 商店街)

It is close to the Golden pavilion, Ryoan-ji Zen garden, Ninna-ji, Daitokuji Zen monastery, and the romantic train leading to Arashiyama, its famous bamboo grove and monkey mountain. Kyoto Imperial Palace is at 2 km distance.
